The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added a former NFL draft pick to their defensive line.

The CFL club announced Tuesday that lineman R.J. McIntosh has signed a contract with the team.

The 6-foot-4, 291-pounder was taken in the fifth round (139th 0verall) of the 2018 NFL draft by the New York Giants. He played 18 games for the Giants, recording 11 tackles and two sacks.

The 27-year-old product of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., also spent time with the New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts and Miami Dolphins.

He spent three seasons at the University of Miami and recorded 12.5 tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks in his junior season with the Hurricanes.

McIntosh is the latest former NFL draft pick to sign with the Riders.

The Riders also signed wide receiver Dazz Newsome (Chicago Bears, sixth round, 221st overall), wide receiver KeeSean Johnson (Arizona Cardinals, sixth round, 174th overall), and defensive back Jamar Johnson (Denver Broncos, fifth round, 164th overall).

Defensive back Holton Hill (who signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agency) and linebacker Diego Fagot (signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent) also are among Saskatchewan’s recent signings.
