Prince Albert Police officer enters not guilty pleas in assault case

Mar 6, 2024 | 2:05 PM

A Prince Albert Police officer, facing three charges of assault, is maintaining his innocence.

Const. Dillon Husky was not present when his matters were discussed Wednesday afternoon at Prince Albert Provincial Court.

Not guilty pleas were instead entered by his lawyer Elise Von Holweide and trial dates secured for Oct. 24 and Dec. 12.

The alleged offences occurred on two separate dates in July 2022.

The Prince Albert Police Service asked for the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) to investigate and Husky was charged in September 2023.

Husky was recruited to the police force in mid-2019 and has been assigned to administrative duties during the court proceedings.
