One man in hospital, three in PAPS custody following shooting on 22nd St. East

Prince Albert Police say that a 25-year-old man is recovering in hospital from a gunshot wound following an incident in the 700 Block of 22^nd Street East, near the Cooke Municipal golf course.

Officers were called at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday for a weapons complaint. While responding, they got a second call saying a civilian was taking an injured man to the hospital.

Police questioned the victim and learned he was involved in an incident on 22^nd Street.

The suspects involved in the shooting had gone into a home on the street, which police then blocked off and tried to contact the suspects inside to no avail.

The Emergency Response Team was called and by 8:30 this morning, three suspects left the house and were arrested.

The Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Section remain at the location as a search warrant is being executed on the home.

Investigators are asking the public to contact P.A. Police if they saw or heard anything suspicious between the hours of 11:00 p.m. on February 28 and 12:00 a.m. on February 29 between the 600 and 800 Block of 22nd Street East.
