Raiders tame Tigers in feisty home win

TForward Brayden Dube scored twice Saturday night as the Prince Albert Raiders beat the Medicine Hat Tigers 3-2 at the Art Hauser Center.

Niall Crocker also scored for P.A. as the team picked up a crucial two points in the standings as they try to nail down a playoff spot this spring in a very competitive WHL Eastern Conference.

The game was a scrappy affair with physicality all night and a fight between Prince Albert’s Grady Martin and Medicine Hat’s Nate Corbet in the first period. The season series between the two clubs is now tied at a game a piece heading into one final meeting back in Medicine Hat on Feb. 16.

The win catapulted the Raiders into the eighth and final playoff spot in the east for the time being. Prince Albert will host Lethbridge coming up on Wednesday at the Art Hauser Centre.
