Muriel passed peacefully on January 16, 2024 at Rose Garden Hospice. A Celebration of Life for Muriel will be held on January 25, 2024 2:00PM @ Mackenzie Chapel – 130 9th St East Prince Albert, SK. The family asks that in lieu of FLOWERS, please make a donation to Rose Garden Hospice.
Muriel was born in Prince Albert on June 18, 1936 and passed away on January 16, 2024. Her parents were Irene and Henry Olsen. They owned and operated their own general store, and they lived east on highway 302. Muriel attended Cecil school as well as Collaston, East Central, and Park City Business College. Muriel had met and married her husband Lorne Mcleod in 1958. Together they had two children, Robert, and Warren. As well as three foster children, Martin, Dawn, and Joy. And 8 grandchildren. Muriel had a lifelong love of music. She also enjoyed watching sunsets, and bird feeding.
Muriel will be lovingly remembered by her sons: Robert (Patti Scott) McLeod, & Warren McLeod. Her foster children: Martin Mcleod, & Dawn LaPrise. Her grandchildren: Kenneth, Patrick, Kelsie(Ryan) Davies, Chantelle, Danielle, & Tyler. Her special sister: Wendy (Ross) Vance. Her brother-in-law: Dale (Sylvia) McLeod and their children: Barry, Keith & Laurie. Her sister-in-laws: Darlene, Betty Olsen and her children: Danny, Darryl, & Denise. Her nieces: Susan, & Ruth.

Muriel was predeceased by her husband: Lorne McLeod. Her parents: Irene & Henry Olsen. Her foster child: Joy McLeod. Her mother & father-in-law: Bessie & Ken McLeod. Her brother: Marvin Olsen. Her sister-in-law: Eva (Norman) Fish. Her brother-in-law: Neil (Joy) McLeod. Her nephews: Rodney Olsen, & Don McLeod. Her grandchildren: Lorne McLeod, Devon Thistlewaite.
