Raiders welcome Giants for rare inter-conference matchup
The Prince Albert Raiders (18-18-0-2) are looking for back-to-back wins on Tuesday night as they host the Vancouver Giants (15-21-2-0) for their only meeting of the season.
The Raiders enter the contest after snapping a four-game skid in their last game which was a big 2-1 shootout win against the rivals Saskatoon Blades. The win ended a losing streak and pulled P.A. back to .500 in the standings where they sit eighth in the East, just one game ahead of Calgary.
Meanwhile, the Giants are visiting the Art Hauser Centre for the first time since Oct. 8, 2019, which ended in a 4-2 victory for the Raiders. So far on their East Division road trip, Vancouver is one for one following their 4-0 shutout win in Brandon on Saturday. The win was the second in a row after the Giants downed Calgary 5-4 on Wednesday.
Over the past five seasons, the Raiders haven’t lost to the Giants albeit they have only met twice in the regular season with their most recent date happening last season which saw Prince Albert prevail 4-1.
