Mintos earn first win at Circle K Classic with dominant showing over OHA Penticton
The Prince Albert Mintos were firing on all cylinders during their second game at the Circle K Classic on Thursday night.
The Mintos faced off against OHA (Okanagan Hockey Academy) Penticton and defeated the opposition by a fistful, winning 7-2. The win comes after P.A. dropped their opening contest at the tournament 6-4 to the Calgary Northwest Flames.
Raydr Wallington spearheaded the offence with two goals while Taite Donkin recorded a goal and an assist. Van Taylor and Teigan Semchyshen also recorded multi-point efforts with two assists each. Will Whiter, Abinet Klassen, Kelan Simmonds, and Kale Margolis rounded out the scorers’ list for P.A. while Scott McLean, Owen Dyck, Owen Nelson, Jordon Abrametz, and Lincoln Rogers did the same for the assist-getters.
Josh Henry got the nod in goal and made 28 saves to collect the win.
