Over 400 children left the Métis Nation office on South Industrial Drive yesterday with big smiles on their faces.
An elder who works with the office said he was impressed by the efforts of Sherry McLennan who organized the visit from the North Pole as well as the large amount of donations needed for the gifts and holiday activities.
“This regional office got no funding whatsoever. All of this work that was done here. All of the gifts were done by the community and the surrounding area,” he said, but declined to give his name for publication.
