Performing Arts Warehouse set to represent P.A. at upcoming TeleMiracle

Nine dancers from Prince Albert will be representing the city at next year’s TeleMiracle Telethon.

A list featuring each of the 75 performances happening in Regina on Feb. 24 and 25 was released earlier this month. Among them is the Performing Arts Warehouse.

Elayna Greenwood, one of the nine dancers taking part, told paNOW it’s a win-win situation as they get to do what they love all while supporting a great cause.

“Every opportunity we get… we love showing what we do and being together as a team,” she said.

According to fellow dancer Reece Blanchard, this is the third time they’ve taken part in the TeleMiracle. She said it means extra to them since dancers aren’t usually the first act people think of.

“It’s kind of something different, you (usually) see a lot of singers and other talents at TeleMiracle.”

Greenwood also believes this performance will be extra special as they’re the only ones to be chosen from the P.A. area.

“I’m personally really proud and I think we all should be very proud,” she said.

The two didn’t want to share too much about the performance but mentioned it’ll be a hip-hop number.

“It will bring a lot of excitement to the audience this year,” added Blanchard.

Last year’s TeleMiracle raised over $5.5 million. The money raised this year will allow the Kinsmen Foundation to continue helping those who need specialized medical and mobility equipment, assistance with medical travel, and new and innovative healthcare equipment.
