Dec 8, 2023 | 1:00 PM

A man charged after a shooting incident in Prince Albert is maintaining his innocence.

Dallas Fulton, who was 26 at the time of his arrest last October, was not present at provincial court on Friday when his matters were discussed.

On his behalf, lawyer Tim Nolan entered not guilty pleas and confirmed a trial date of Feb. 5.

The case dates back to Sept. 13, when a fight broke out at a home in the 1000 Block of River Street West, and a small calibre gun was fired.

The victim was transported by ambulance to hospital and their injuries were described as non-life threatening.

Police said the suspects, who were acquainted with the victim, fled the scene on BMX-style bicycles.

Fulton was arrested on Oct. 5.

He has since been charged with several offences including discharging a firearm with intent, aggravated assault, breach of firearm prohibition, reckless discharge of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
