Alice Torborg

1954 – 2023

 

It is with great sadness the family of Alice Torborg announce her passing at home on November 20, 2023 at the age of 69 years.

Alice was born and raised in Prince Albert and graduated from PA Tech Institute (now known as Carlton High School) in 1972.  As a single mother, she put herself through University completing her Lab Technician program in 1981 in Saskatoon.  Alice returned to Prince Albert, working as a lab tech at Victoria Union Hospital.  Over the years, Alice aided not only in the treatment of patients, she trained many students instructing them on the finer details of patient care and lab processes.  After 34 years of dedicated service Alice retired from her chosen field of health care, lab services and senior management.

Alice was a hard worker, incredibly smart, and fiercely devoted to her family.  She was a devoted Mom and Grandmother, avid bird watcher, and a wiz in the kitchen.

Alice is survived by her son, Jason (Christine); her grandchildren Madison (Jesse), William, Wyatt, and Garrett; her siblings Bob (Sheila), Pat (Ed), Marie, and Herb (Brenda); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mom, Norah Patterson; her dad, Alfred Patterson; and her husband, Barry Torborg.

A Celebration of Life for Alice will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023 at St. Christopher’s Anglican Church in Christopher Lake, SK.
