Richard Fredrick Ballantyne was born on August 8, 1976, in Flin Flon, MB, and passed away on November 4, 2023, in Flin Flon, MB, at the age of 47 years.

Richard is survived by his loving family, his children, Curtis Custer, Darnel Custer and Dayne Custer; his siblings, Donna, Sidney, Wayne, and Brent; his Godson, Blue Ballantyne, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by, his parents, William Ballantyne and Jean Ballantyne; his siblings, Gabe, Leland, William Jr., Heather, and Gary; his niece, Sheenalyn Sewap; his nephews, John Sewap, and Leroy Custer (MMIWM); and numerous cousins, aunties, uncles, extended family and friends.

The Prayer Service for Richard will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at River Park Funeral Home, with Elias Ballantyne officiating. The Wake Services will be held on the evening of Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the residence of the late William Ballantyne in Pelican Narrows, and will continue on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the Pelican Narrows Band Hall. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023, St. Bartholomew Anglican Church in Pelican Narrows, SK, with Elias Ballantyne, Elaine Bear and Tony Michel officiating.
