It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John Jonathan Cook, late of Black Lake, SK on October 25^th, 2023, at the age of 31 years. John was born in Uranium City, SK to Jeanette Cook & Jack Gunn on May 17^th, 1992. John will be lovingly remembered by his children Jolanna, Warren, & Jacey; his siblings Randall, & Leeanne; his nephew Tyrell; his stepfather Raymond Benonie; his stepsister Gale; his aunts & uncles Flora, Florence (Leonard), Janice (Georgie), Albert (Doreen), Gilbert (Juliet), Frank, Leon, Flora, Sylvia, Climatine, Nora, Jenny, Rodney, Victor, & Brian; his cousins Dora, Lorna, Corey, Crystal, Jonas, Jennifer, Janie, Billy, Justin, Dana, Luke, Anson, Deanna, Jayren, Jaynen, Jaylee, Angel, Jenny, Gina, & Ruby; his friends Brent Cheba, Christ Skull, Trevor Joseyounen, & Eric Gazayou; as well as numerous relatives from the Gunn, Cook, Broussie, Donard, Sayazie, Boneleye, Robillard, Medal, Joseyounen, Benonie, Crookedneck, McKenzie, MacDonald, Whitedeer, Linklater, & Seegert families. John was predeceased by his mother Jeanette Cook; his father Jack Gunn; his brother Jerome Tssessaze; his cousins Arley Cook, Jordan Cook, & Ryan Donard; his grandparents Alfred & Germaine Cook, & Jean Marie & Rose Gunn & his godmother Margaret Cook. A Wake Service will be commencing November 1^st, 2023, at the residence of Flora Cook in Black Lake, SK. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 3^rd, 2023, at 2 PM at Our Lady of the Cape in Black Lake, SK with the Officiant being Father Joji. The Honourary Pallbearers are Bennie Toutsaint, Rosanna Crockedneck, Simon Jr. Denecheze, Alexandra Donard, Benson Toutsaint, Lyla Donard, Travis Robillard, Maryann Sayazie, Billy Joe Donard, Richard Cook, Josette Josie, Jaden Toutsaint, Jimmy & Rose Cook, Rose & Raymond MacDonald, Sharon Cook, Adrianna Joseyounen, Angie Whitedeer, Angela Whitedeer, Doris Linklater, David St.Pierre, & Alex Donard. The Pallbearers are Albert Cook, Anson Cook, Luke Cook, Jonas Cook, Gilbert Cook, Bradley Cook, Randall Cook, Billy Cook, & Justin Broussie. The Interment will take place at the Black Lake Cemetery in Black Lake, SK.
