It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Leo Jack, late of Big River First Nation, SK on September 21st, 2023 at the age of 74 years. Leo was born in Big River First Nation, SK to Antione & Mary Jack on May 9th, 1949. Leo will be lovingly remembered by his wife Nora Jack; his son Bruce (Bev) Jack; his grandchildren Brandon (Trina) Jack, Lyndsay Jack, Reisha Jack (Jeff), & Rylon; his chapan Jack Treydan Leo Jack; his sister Matilda Frazer; as well as brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, & cousins. Leo was predeceased by his parents Antione, Mary (nee Sakow) Jack; his sisters Louisa Jack, Josaphine Okanee, Julie Ahenakew, & two younger siblings; & his brothers Patrick Jack, Walter Jack, & Albert Rainey. A Wake Service will be held on Friday, September 22nd, 2023 at the Mistah Sipiy Elementary School in Big River First Nation, SK. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Mistah Sipiy Elementary School in Big River First Nation, SK. The Officiants will be the Community Elders. The Honourary Pallbearers are Lenard Lachance, Marshall Dreaver, Wayne Lachance, Adam Joseph, Douglas Joseph, and all those who shared in Leo’s life. The Pallbearers will be Brandon Jack, Steven Frazer, Guardain Bear, Craig Jack, Jeff Masuskapoe, & Marshal Thomas. The Interment will take place at the Big River First Nation Roman Catholic Cemetery at Big River First Nation, SK. Condolences can be sent to the family on our website at www.mackenziechapel.ca.
