Carlton, St. Mary girls volleyball in full swing ahead of tournament in PA this weekend
Carlton’s and St. Mary’s girls’ volleyball clubs say they are ready for battle ahead of Carlton’s home tournament this weekend.
Crusader head coach Tori Glynn spoke to paNOW ahead of the tournament and said it will be a good time for the team to gel together and build chemistry.
“It will be a good opportunity for us to get to know each other as a team on the court and get comfortable in our rotations and our different positions,” she said. “I think the team is very excited. It’s always exciting to be able to play in front of your home crowd and your family and friends. We’re hoping to get some competitive matches out of this tournament.”
Their cross-town rival St. Mary will compete in the tournament as well. The Marauders have nine returning players from their roster last season, seven of whom are seniors where head coach Shaun Hunko said he and his team are hopeful heading into the weekend.
