High school golfers competing for provincial berths
Six high school golfers from Prince Albert are competing Friday at the NCDAA District Golf Championships at Shellbrook Golf Course.
Tavian Ermine, Jacob Klassen, Grady McDougall, Max McDougall, Kayden Burns, and Noah Guardado Enns are competing on the boys side of the draw. All are from Carlton High School.
Tee times began at 10 a.m. Friday morning with a shotgun start. The competition should wrap up around 3 p.m. Over 40 golfers are attending the competition.
“The golfers have been training all summer and practicing and there’s going to be good competition,” said Chad Basaraba, Carlton’s golf coach. “The north-central district is looking to send the most competitive team that they can.”
