BACHEK, Walter

1933 – 2023

It is with great sorrow the family of Walter Bachek announces his passing on August 13, 2023.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Bachek of St. Albert; son Kim (Deb) Bachek of Regina, SK; daughter Laurie (Emanuel) Viveiros of St. Albert, AB; brother Peter (Nellie) Bachek of Prince Albert, SK; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Walter was predeceased by his mother Stella (Nick) Ewanchyna, and his father John Bachek.

Born in 1933, Walter was raised on a farm in Meath Park, SK. Walter took various jobs before becoming a welder. He worked at Sask Power in Regina, SK before spending 28 years at Weyerhauser Pulp and Paper Mill in Prince Albert, SK.

Walter met and married his love, Lucille, of 61 years in Prince Albert, where they also raised their family.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
