What’s open and what’s closed for Sask. Day in Prince Albert

Aug 7, 2023 | 8:00 AM

As many residents in Prince Albert prepare for their extra day off on Monday, many businesses and facilities in the city are set to lock their doors for the day as well.

Those keeping their doors closed for Saskatchewan Day are banks and other Federal buildings in the city. Many city-owned buildings will also be closed, like City Hall, the EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts, the Municipal Service Centre, the Art Hauser Centre, Frank J. Dunn pool, and the Alfred Jenkins Field House.

Transit services will also cease operations for the day in addition to the John M. Cuelenaere Library, the South Hill Mall, and the Knotty Pine Bistro in Little Red River Park.

Other places in the city will remain open with the following hours:

– Gateway Mall, 12pm-5pm

– Kinsmen Water Park, 1pm-7pm

– Prince Albert Historical Museum, 9am-5pm

Spray parks in the city will also remain open for the day, however Alfred’s Spray Park and Crescent Heights Spray Park are currently closed for maintenance. Hazeldell Paddling Pool will also be open.
