It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen Kristian, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Wife. Maureen passed suddenly on July 23, 2023 at the age of 80. Deeply mourning her passing are her son Curtis, daughter-in-law Susan, beloved granddaughters Hailey (Zac Paziuk) and Lindsey as well as her identical twin sister Marilyn, nieces Kim Macsymic (Blair Wagner), Wendy (Richard) Grimard and families, and special cousins Westy Fisher and Ed Caron.
Maureen was predeceased by her loving husband Ben, parents James and Liliane Beardall, brothers-in-law Larry Kristian, Vern Kristian, Bob Palfy, Ed Habetler and Neil Foster; sister-in-laws Madeline Clark and Shirley Bjork, as well as dear nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Maureen was the kindest, most humble person anyone would have had the pleasure to meet. Her vibrant smile and little giggle made everything that much better. Her and Ben’s love of travel and adventure took them often to Mexico and the United States and a relocation to Castlegar, BC for a period of time but her heart was always at home in Prince Albert, SK where she returned in 2016 after Ben’s passing to be closer to her son Curtis’ family, her mother and sister.
Maureen loved to garden and even though she had to downsize quite abit to pots of flowers on her apartment deck there wasn’t an empty space. She would always say she wouldn’t get as many the next year, she always did, if only to make her little space in this world that much more beautiful (who can resist a gorgeous wave petunia).
She was the best mother, grandmother, wife and furbaby grandma (Czar and Koko) that anyone could ask for and will be missed by so many people that had the great opportunity to meet her and get to know her.
It is so hard to say goodbye to such a wonderful person but knowing that she is now one of our heavenly angels is a blessing to all.
A celebration of life will be held at Knotty Pine Bistro, Little Red River Park on Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 1 pm to 4 pm. Family and friends are invited to come share in fellowship and remembrance.
