A warrant has been issued for a 28-year-old man after he allegedly pointed a firearm at someone in Black Lake.

Around 4:10 p.m. on July 24, RCMP received a report of an armed man in the community.

They quickly determined that the suspect, identified as Jake Toutsaint, approached an individual outside a business, pointed a firearm at them, but ultimately fled on an ATV.

Police say Toutsaint drove up to them several times on the ATV but fled again once he was told he was under arrest.

He’s since been charged with pointing a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, three counts of firearm/ammunition contrary to an order, assault with a weapon, flights from a peace office, resisting arrest, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failing to comply with recognizance, and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

They’re now asking the public for any tips to help them find him.

He’s described as 6-2, 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has several tattoos including a skull motif on his lower back, writing on his right arm, and a rosary on his right wrist.

Anyone who sees Toutsaint should not approach him as he’s considered armed and dangerous. Instead, they should contact RCMP at 306-439-2185 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
