Alleged drug trafficker, wanted on Canada Wide warrant, captured by P.A. police

A 26-year-old Prince Albert man, wanted on a Canada Wide warrant for a parole violation, is now facing a number of new charges related to guns and drugs.

This past Wednesday, a vehicle involved in multiple flights from police, was found by members of the Prince Albert Police Service Crime Reduction Team.

The vehicle was found at a home in the 1700 Block of Spence Street and it was learned the suspected driver was wanted Canada-wide for a Parole Suspension warrant.

Officers were conducting surveillance on the residence when the suspect, Tyler Bear, was observed leaving on a bicycle. He was taken into custody a short distance from the home.

During the arrest, officers recovered a manipulated 22-calibre firearm with ammunition, as well as Methamphetamine, a scale, a knife, and $1,690 in Canadian Currency.

Bear’s charges include possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possess of a Weapon for a Purpose Dangerous to Public Peace, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Operating a Conveyance while Prohibited from doing so, and Operating a Conveyance in a Manner Dangerous to the Public.

The Crime Reduction Team was assisted by the Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team.
