A man accused of stealing over $15,000 from the French Canadian Society of Prince Albert (SCFPA), has entered not guilty pleas before his scheduled trial this fall.

On July 4, Ahmed Hassan Farah entered not guilty pleas to fraud and theft over $5,000. A trial date was secured for Nov. 15.

Ahmed Hassan Farah is a former community leader with the SCFPA and was employed between early 2017 and March, 2018. The charges were sworn Nov. 16, 2022.

The alleged theft itself is said to have occurred during Farah’s employment with the SCFPA. A spokesperson for SCFPA previously informed paNOW that Farah’s employment ceased in March 2018, and he was employed with the organization for just over a year.
