Prince Albert man facing murder charge in death of 78-year-old man

A 40-year-old man from Prince Albert is facing a charge of second-degree murder in connection to an incident Sunday west of the city.
Justin Madden appeared Tuesday morning at provincial court and was remanded to Wednesday. Due to the nature of the charge, a bail hearing would have to be held at Court of King’s Bench.
On Sunday, around 2:30 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a request to conduct a welfare check on a man at a home on Oxbow Street.
Frank Lund, 78, was found deceased inside the home. His death was deemed suspicious.
