Stars fall short in Centennial Cup final

The Battlefords North Stars are coming home with a second place finish from the Centennial Cup in Portage La Prairie, MB.

The team fell 4-0 to the Brooks Bandits, from the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), in the final.

The Stars couldn’t dig themselves out of a hole in the second period after the Bandits scored three goals within the span of less than two minutes.

The public is invited to welcome back the team Monday night by lining the route to Access Communications Centre.
