George Specht
1940 ~ 2022

George Specht was born on September 28, 1940, in Saskatoon, SK, and passed away on December 22, 2022, in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 82 years.

George will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Maria (nee Pellegrini) Specht; his son, Derrick Specht (Twyla Burdick) and his children, Kirsten Specht (Shane McVey), Rebekka Pister (Jayson Colton), Brennan Sheldon, Alex Paulos (Rachael Dancer), Aaron Paulos, and Rachel (James) Damocles his son Kirt (Heather) Specht and his children, Logan Specht (Dempsie Cowan), and Morgan Specht; his sister, Marie (Jim) Hill and family; his brother-in-law, Ron (Yvonne) Pellegrini; and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, George & Bertha Specht; his parents-in-law, Camillo & Amalia Pellegrini; his brothers-in-law, George and Ab Pellegrini; and his sister-in-law, Lee Silvernagle.

George had a few careers in his lifetime, he was a trucker, and an ambulance driver. Later he worked for the PA Northern Bus lines, and then for the Commissionaires. He was also a proud member of the Lions Club of Prince Albert for many years.

The Memorial Service for George will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, May 5, 2023, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401– 4th Ave West, Prince Albert, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations and memorial tributes may be made in George’s memory to Mont St. Joseph Home, the Victoria Hospital Foundation, Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, Diabetes Canada, or the Canadian Mental Health Association.
