John William Gibson
December 30, 1976 – April 17, 2023
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of John William Gibson, of Prince Albert, SK at the age of 46. John passed away surrounded by his loved ones on April 17, 2023 due to complications from kidney disease.
John was born on December 30, 1976 in Saskatoon to Ian and Susan Gibson. After John graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1994, he remained in Prince Albert and began studying at SIAST in hopes of becoming a conservation officer. After a few years he left SIAST to take a job at the Ministry of Central Services in Prince Albert as a maintenance worker. John’s employment took him to Yorkton in 2002 where he lived for 5 years. In 2007 he transferred to Saskatoon where he took on various roles in maintenance in the provincial government buildings. In 2018 John completed his final years working at the Queens Bench Court House and the Prince Albert Fire Control Centre. As his health deteriorated he had to step away from his position with provincial government.
During his time away from work John enjoyed spending as much time with family and friends as he could. He was a great lover of the outdoors and loved to fish or watch a baseball game or play various games with his nephews and nieces and friends. He enjoyed being part of various Kaiser tournaments around Prince Albert. John enjoyed his life in Prince Albert touching the lives of all those he loved so much.
John is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, William and Anne Gibson; maternal grandparents, John and Monica Huber; and angel cousins Daniel and Brian Fehr.
John will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Ian and Susan Gibson; twin sister Jennifer Singer, brother-in-law OJ Singer, and their children Taylor, Connor, Brieann and Owyn; as well as many friends and family.
