“I can accommodate anything for allergies, gluten free, dairy free, egg and nut free, favorite colours, I can do any favorite characters or hobbies. I can accommodate pretty much any size of cake and an endless supply of flavours and everything is made from scratch,” she said.

You can check out some of her impressive work on the Sweet Stells Cakes and More website which shows a cupcake bouquet with macarons, a 3-D cake, another with hand painted northern lights and a wedding cake for an Indigenous couple complete with buttercream beadwork.

Beyond the wedding and birthday cakes, Sweet Stells offers a variety of desserts and baked goods including gourmet cupcakes, macarons, cookies, breads, buns and cinnamon rolls (which, by the way, sell out super fast – so get there early!)

And if you’re more into savoury foods, be sure to visit their Facebook page where Hill lists daily lunch specials that feature homemade soups and sandwiches or chilli and bannock.

“We bake bread almost daily Tuesday through Friday. We do white bread, sourdough, whole wheat, a dill bread and fresh buns,” Hill said.

And since the type of bread they make varies daily, you’ll always have an excuse to stop by the shop.
