Stanley Bruce Merasty “WeeNusk” was born on February 2, 1944, in Flin Flon, MB, and passed away on March 11, 2023, in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 79 years.

Stanley leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Scott (Nadine) Merasty, Carrie (Chris) Good, Nikki McCallum (Leo McDonald); his brother, Bernard Peterson; his daughter-in-law, Connie Paintednose-Merasty; his grandchildren, Cree (Darian) Merasty, Sidney (Jules) Merasty, Reese (Deana Budger) Merasty, Kane Merasty, Kali Merasty, Jordan Engebregtson, Wynddancer, Denika, Barry, Ira, Chrissy Good, Matt, Aurora, Marcus, Ciana Thomas, Leo Jr., Ally; his 8 great-grandchildren; his in-laws, Leonard (Sarah), David, George, Georgina, Myrtle (Mike), Yvonne, John & Lena Nelson; his childhood friends, Mathew Morin, Walter Bear; his godchildren, Harry Morin Jr., Kathy Ballantyne, Chris Shinkewski, Charlotte Merasty, Marty Ballentyne; numerous cousins, friends, nieces and nephews from Stoney Rapids, La-loche Pelican Narrows, Sandy Bay, B.C, Flin Flon; his loving pets, Krissy, Baby Girl.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Merasty; his sons, Stewart Merasty, Darcy Merasty, Ken Sayese; his parents, David and Charlotte Merasty; his step-father, Herbert Peterson; his brothers and sisters, Angus Merasty (Angelique), Emil Merasty (Elsie), Isaac Merasty, Lena Merasty, Cecile Merasty, Margaret (Jonas) Ballantyne; his in-laws, Larry Morin, Clara Maurice, Veronica Kehijkonaham; his special nephew, Donald Ballantyne.

The Prayer Service for Stanley will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK. Family and friends unable to attend the service may view it online at https://fweb.tv/97904 . The Wake Services will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023, and Friday, March 17, 2023, at the multipurpose building in Sandy Bay, SK. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, March, 18, 2023, at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows, in Sandy Bay, SK. Interment to follow at Sandy Bay Cemetery.
