Horse stable fire at P.A. Exhibition Grounds under investigation

A fire at a horse stable at the Prince Albert Exhibition Grounds is being considered suspicious by fire crews.

At around 12:30 Sunday afternoon, members with the Prince Albert police service (PAPS) and fire department were dispatched to a blaze in the southwest corner of the grounds. That’s where they found the east side of the stables fully engulfed in flames.

The blaze was quickly brought under control by fire crews and no other buildings were damaged.

Fire investigators will be on scene Monday morning to determine a cause. PAPS also confirmed the fire is under investigation.
