Joseph "Wayne" Primeau

Joseph “Wayne” Primeau, late of Prince Albert, SK passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospital on February 10th, 2023, at the age of 79 years. Wayne was born in Cornwall, ON to Austin and Christina (nee McDonald) Primeau on September 20th, 1943.
Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Christina “Tina” (Cecil) Moriarty, his brothers Donald “Ducky”, and his half brothers Harvey, and Francis. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends, too many to mention but none forgotten. Wayne is predeceased by his lifelong partner Maggie, his parents, brothers Robert “Bob” (Ann), Clarence (Lise), Arthur “Art” (Collette), Denzel (Carol), Andrew “Andy”, William “Billy” (Claudette) and Austin.
After many years of traveling around the country in January 1986, he set roots down in Prince Albert, as he finally found his lifelong partner and best friend Marguerite (Maggie) Daigneault. The two were inseparable from the first date until Maggie’s passing in April 2022.
Wayne was an avid sports fan, he loved watching baseball and hockey. Wayne was fortunate last summer, to be able to take in a couple of Blue Jays games while he was on vacation in Ontario. Wayne loved golfing; he would meet the boys in the early morning for a round of golf out at Mark’s 9. Family and friends were Wayne’s World, he will be remembered by all those who knew and loved him as a small man with a big heart, always willing to help anyone, no job was too big or too small.
Celebration of life to be held On February 22nd, 2023, at 1 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #2, 133 8th Street East in Prince Albert, SK. The Interment will take place in Spring 2023, where Wayne and Maggie will be laid to rest together in Green Lake, SK. Condolences can be sent to the family on our website at www.mackenziechapel.ca.
