Two women charged after cocaine and meth found in stolen vehicle

Two women accused of possessing methamphetamine and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, while riding in a stolen vehicle, provided no comment when their matters were discussed Wednesday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court.

Hailey Okemow, 21, of Saskatoon, and Karalyn Naytowhow, 32, of Prince Albert, were both remanded to Thursday morning to allow them time to get legal advice,

Early Wednesday morning at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers on patrol identified a vehicle that had been reported stolen and performed a traffic stop in the 900 block of 13th St. W.

Upon further investigation, police located just over 60 grams of methamphetamine, more than 10 grams of cocaine, and a machete.

Okemow and Naytowhow have each been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, as well as possession of stolen property in excess of $5,000.

Okemow is further charged with obstruction of a peace officer (providing false name) and breach of a court order.
