RCMP searching for man who escaped Sask. Pen

Police are searching for a man who escaped from the minimum-security unit of the Saskatchewan Penitentiary in Prince Albert.

At around 9:30 Thursday night, RCMP were notified that Brian Patrick Aubichon walked away from the unit. He is now considered unlawfully at large.

Aubichon is currently serving a sentence of four years, four months, and nine days for robbery.

Aubichon, 24, is a First Nations man who stands 5-feet-8 and weighs 146 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.

He is known to frequent the Prince Albert, Saskatoon, and Meadow Lake areas.

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) has contacted the Prince Albert Police Service and the Prince Albert RCMP and a warrant for Aubichon’s arrest has been issued.

CSC will investigate the circumstances of this incident and is working with the police to locate Aubichon as quickly as possible.
