The passing of Bertha “Betty” Anne Smith, age 88 years, occurred on January 17, 2023, at the Mennonite Nursing Home, Rosthern, SK.  Bertha is survived by her: sons, Dwight (Kelly), Grant (Lori), and Harvey; grandchildren, Tyler (Krista), Brady (Sara), Rebecca, Kendra, Lyndon, Charity (Michael) Banman, Karalee (David) Yahnke, Sierra, and Summer; great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Hugo, Atlas, Ezekiel, Adelaide, Edmund, Finley, Charlotte and Jane; siblings, Bud (Martha) Grusing of Calgary, AB, Esther (Gary) Hunter of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Marye (Ken) Poitras of Hilbre, MB, Phyllis (Glen) Haywood of Council Bluffs, Iowa;  in-laws Lynda Grusing, Bonnie Moore Grusing, Lorne Collie, and Bonnie Bowling Grusing. She was predeceased by her: husband, Roy Smith in 2022; parents, Herman, and Teena Grusing; siblings and in-laws, John (Evelyn), Helen Collie, Alice Hedlund, Dave, Frank, Faye Reader, and Bill. A memorial gathering and viewing for family and close friends was held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK. The recording of the service can be viewed on her obituary page at www.funksfuneralhome.ca. Following the gathering, the interment took place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Prince Albert, SK.
