It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Eugene Mercredi, late of North Battleford, SK formerly of Stony Rapids, SK on January 17^th, 2023, at the age of 78 years. Eugene was born on November 9^th, 1944, to Boniface & Judith Mercredi in Stony Rapids, SK. Eugene will be lovingly remembered by his brothers George (Valentine), Billy Joe (Georgina), John (Florence), Morvan; his sisters June (Joe), Eileen, Barbara Anne, Caroline (Jerome); his sisters-in-law Therese Mercredi, & Ellen Mercredi; his special cousins Clara Dusseault, Florence Halkett, Joyce Babiak, Margaret Pichion, Evelyn Jesson, & Rosie Kolwich; & his caregivers Saskatchewan Hospital Nurses and Staff. Eugene was predeceased by his parents Boniface & Judith Mercredi; his brothers Philip, Freddie, Edwin, & Gilbert; his sister Elsie Mercredi; his grandparents Modest, Helen, and Rosalie Mercredi, Moise and Louisa Mercredi; his aunts and uncles Leon Mercredi, Donald (Ermeline) Mercredi, Ernestine (Philip) Robillard, Christine Mercredi, George (Adeline) Mercredi, Emile and Marie Tralenberg, Elizabeth, and Alphonse Lafferty; his in-law Jean Mercredi; & his nephews Gerard Mercredi, Alvin MacDonald, & Darren Torrie. A Wake Service will be Commencing Friday, January 20^th, 2023, at the residence of Morvin Mercredi in Stony Rapids, SK. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 23^rd, 2023, at 2 PM at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Stony Rapids, SK. The Officiant will be Father Paul Oshin. The Honourary Pallbearers are George, Morvan, Billy Joe, Jerry, John, Robert, and the caregivers of the Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battleford, SK. The Pallbearers will be Joyce, Christina, Connie, Brenda, Melanie, Katheleen, Sharlene, Tanya, Robert, Elizabeth, Albert, Delbert, Wilbert, Gilbert Jr, John, Bobby Joe, Billy Jack, Eugene, Timothy, Cindy, Franklin, Joey, Candace, Chelsea, Rosanna, Jeannie, BJ, Albert, Jackie, Jennifer, Diane, Melvin, Connie, Jacob. The Interment will take place at the Stony Rapids Cemetery in Stony Rapids, SK.
