Jan 10, 2023 | 11:10 AM

UPDATED: Community members at Muskoday First Nation are on high alert, in response to a heavy police presence.

Chief Ava Bear confirmed to paNOW she’s been told the RCMP are looking for an individual or individuals.

According to information on the community’s Facebook page, South Hill Road is currently blocked off between House #38 and House #33.

For safety reasons, community members are being encouraged to stay away from the area and those who live directly in the area, are being asked to stay inside and lock their doors.

As of 10:30 a.m., the Muskoday First Nation Community School was on Hold and Secure. Classes continue but no one is allowed to enter or leave at this time.

This is a developing story. paNOW will have more information when it’s made available.
