George Pistun
Jan. 6th, 1937 – Jan 8th, 2023
George was a very kind, soft-spoken humble man with a love for life, family and music. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. George was born January 6, 1937 to John and Teenia Pistun on the farm near Foxford, Saskatchewan. George shared a happy life with his many siblings, helping out on the family farm, attending Celtic school and playing in bands for many dances in the community.
George married his love, Nancy and they were happily married for over 61 years. They had three children, Travis, Tracy, and Harley. George had six grandchildren that he was so proud of, Kennedy and Dale, Jessica, and Scott and Ashley and Madison. George also had one great grandson, Kingsley.
George worked many jobs throughout his life with the last one working as a ticket agent at the STC. After he retired, George enjoyed his time outside, tending to his garden, fruit trees, and picking tubs of Saskatoon berries. George also loved building his many rock walls on his property. George’s biggest passion was his love of music. He was a great musician, who played fiddle, guitar and loved to sing. He composed many songs, and even had some records made. George played in many bands over the years and was well respected by many musicians.
George will be truly missed and never forgotten by all who knew and loved him.
Celebration of Life for George will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12th, 2023 at the Army and Navy Club, 25 11 St W, Prince Albert, SK.
