Sean George Lutkin

In the early morning hours of January 8, 2023, Sean George Lutkin passed away at the age of 57 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Sean was born on March 1 1965 to Clyde and Daneen Lutkin in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and was the younger brother to Mark, Laneen and Shannon. Growing up, Sean was a curious fellow who loved learning about the world. He played a mean game of soccer and always had a solid group of friends in the Crescent Heights neighbourhood. Summers and Christmases were often spent visiting family in New Mexico where Sean enjoyed time with cousins at the McMillen ranch near Silver City.
Sadly, Sean was diagnosed with schizophrenia at age 15, which stole so much of his life and ambitions. For the last nine years, Sean had been a resident of Saskatchewan Hospital where he received the most attentive and professional care. At the time of his death, Sean was battling severe COPD and lung cancer, which together, took his life.
Sean will be forever remembered by his father, Clyde Lutkin and step mother, Clara, his mother, Daneen Shelley, brother Mark Lutkin (Lynda), sister Shannon Mensinger and step sister Claudia Hemani, nephews Jaryn Lutkin (Susan), Simon Mensinger and Devin Adair, nieces Sarri Lutkin and Sheena Mensinger and grandnieces Eleanor and Annika Lutkin, Uncles JT and Roger McMillen, numerous cousins in the United States. and Hanif Hemani. Sean was predeceased by his grandparents, John and Lucy McMillen, George and Dorothy Lutkin, Great Uncle Clyde Long, Aunts Jane Hair, Mable Frary and Nodé McMillen, step father Vernon Shelley, cousin Virginia Frary, niece Hailey Belanger-Weeseekase and his beloved sister Laneen.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Saskatchewan Hospital for their care and compassion.
Sean’s ashes will be interred at the Cliff-Gila Mesa Cemetery in New Mexico.
Sean’s funeral will be held on January 28th, 2023 at 2:00 at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 1796 15 Ave E, Prince Albert, SK.
