It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Leslie Richard Badger, late of Prince Albert, SK formerly of Sturgeon Lake, SK on January 2^nd, 2023, in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 69 years. Leslie was born on May 22^nd, 1953, in Prince Albert, SK to Rita Badger & Roy Kingfisher. Leslie will be lovingly remembered by his children Darwin Arcand, Christian Ermine (Shannon M), Lisa Ermine, & Lisa PeeQuat; his grandchildren Noah Reign McKay, Athen Wild McKay, Terrence Arcand, Mathew Arcand, & Heaven Arcand; his adopted children Ruby Badger, & Clarence Jr. Ermine; his sisters Rose Turner, Jean Ross (Albert), Wanda Sanderson, Bonnie Ledoux, & Karen Houle; his brothers Clarence Badger (Rose), Wilson Badger, Danny Badger, Sol Sanderson (Sharon), Arnold Sanderson, Jonas Sanderson, Dwayne Sanderson, Alfred Sanderson, Pat Drever, Kelly Drever, Roy Jr. Kingfisher, Howard Halkett (Gayle), Ricky Kingfisher, & Anthony Badger; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, & nephews. Leslie was predeceased by his wife Beatrice Ermine; his parents Rita Badger, & Roy Kingfisher; his daughter Corrina Arcand Badger; his sisters Beatrice Badger, Georgina Badger, Baby Shelly, Linda Sinclair, Diane Kingfisher, & Carrie Drever; his grandson Isaiah Arcand; his grandmothers Alice (Jhon) Badger, William (Hanna) Kingfisher, Baptise (Harriet) Turner; his uncles Joe Badger, Leo Badger, Harold Kingfisher, & Harvey Kingfisher; & his aunties Lillian Crowe & Carol Sanderson. A Wake Service will be held on Wednesday, January 4^th, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Sturgeon Lake Community Center in Sturgeon Lake, SK. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 6^th, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Sturgeon Lake Community Center in Sturgeon Lake, SK. The Officiants will be Community Elders. Honourary Pallbearers are Barry Kingfisher, Darren “Cheech” Turner, Leslie Badger, Danny Moosehunter, Hector Moosehunter, and all those who shared in Leslie’s life. The Pallbearers were Lance Peters, Vincent Ermine, Wayne Longjohn, Dale Nippy, Jerome Thom, & Murphy Natamogen. The Interment will take place at West Central Cemetery in Sturgeon Lake, SK.
