Serious assault under investigation on 5th Avenue East

Police in Prince Albert is looking for any available video footage as they investigate what they are calling a serious assault from this morning.

The assault happened between 5:00 and 6:00 am at a home in the 500 block of 5^th Avenue East, near Riverside School.

As of 6:30 p.m. Friday, police said officers remain on the scene and are asking people to avoid the area for the rest of Friday and possibly the weekend.

Police were not releasing any other details and asked anyone that may have video or information to call 306-953-4222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Anonymous tips can also be made online at https://www.p3tips.com/248.
