Fire department responds to alarm, spots real house fire across street
As the Prince Albert fire department was going to a fire alarm call at the 500 block of 19th Street East several days ago, the alert driver of the truck spotted an issue across the street.
The first residence was on the south side of the street and did not actually have a fire. But to the north and one house over, there was indeed a fire.
“There was a fire burning on the deck, that was sort of smoldering at that point and had been burning for a period of time,” said Deputy Fire Chief Alex Paul.
The operator of the truck was waiting in the vehicle while other firefighters went into check out the alarm in the first house.
