Jimmy was born to John & Sally Truba in Prince Albert April 26, 1946. He grew up on the Truba farm in Weirdale, SK, and passed away on October 28, 2022, in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 76 years.
Jimmy, his older sister Irene and younger brother John attended grade school in Prince Albert, SK. He then returned to the farm and attended Meath Park high school. In the late 60’s Jimmy ventured into plumbing and attended trade school in Saskatoon. He became a journeyman plumber & pipefitter and worked for various companies in Prince Albert right up to his retirement in 2014.
Jimmy enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing hockey and ball through out his life. Being outdoors is where he was happiest, be it hauling fire wood, berry picking, taking wildlife photos or having a picnic. Every adventure included a pack of smokes and a thermos of coffee.
Jimmy met Audrey Agnew and they were married on March 4th,1972. They welcomed their daughters, Kim in 1972 and Jodi in 1976. Their only grandson Kieran joined the Truba clan in 1999. Jimmy was proud of his home, garage, yard and his many fruit trees.
Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Kim Truba & Jodi Truba (Lyndon Andres); his grandson Kieran Truba; his sister, Irene Truba; his brother, John (Joan) Truba, and their children Donna Truba, Laura (Scott) Reilkoff, Cheryl (Matt) Kristiansen; his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Agnew, and her children Shelly (Gord) Stephenson & Jason (Laetitia) Agnew, Elva Agnew, and her children Abbie (Les) Smith, Diana (Kevin) Couture & Arlin (Lisa) Brewster, Marion Agnew (Ken), and her children Wanda (Roger) Gareau & Cory (Lori) Smith; his brother-in-law, Lorne (Bev) Smith; and his uncle, Fred Bremner. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is predeceased by his wife Audrey; his parents, John & Sally Truba; his father & mother-in-law, Russell and Evelyn Agnew; his brothers-in-law, Lester Agnew and Clarence Brewster. Numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the Prince Albert Wildlife Federation. There will be a private family interment at the Prince Albert Memorial Gardens, at a later date.
