It is with great sadness that the family of Maralyne Paulson would like to announce her passing on October 17, 2022, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s and dementia, at the age of 78 years.
Maralyne is survived by her loving family, Paula (Peter) and their children; Dawn (Emile) and their children; Tanya (Brent); Logan (Lisa) and their children. Her grandchildren, Tasha (Ben), Amanda (Dustin), Liz (Tony), Tim, Carolyn, Kayla, Greta. Her great-grandchildren, Meika, Shianna, Charlie, Morgan, Nate, Dilon, Shelby, Averie, Jack, Keagan. Her brother, Dean (Debbie) Abbot and their children, Tammy and Cheryl.
She was predeceased by her brother, Wilfred; her father, Clarence; her mother, Mary; and father of her children, Wayne Paulson.
Maraylne was born in Tisdale, SK, on November 25, 1943. They lived in Bannock, SK, and she went to school there until she was 7, then she went to school in Misatim until high school in Tisdale. She worked at Lamb Hardware, and the Tisdale hotel where she met dad, they married in Parkside at the Paulson family farm in October of 1964. They lived in Hayward and Kindersley until Dad was stationed in Prince Albert, 1969 with the city police.
She worked at Co-op hardware, Queen Mary school and the Victoria Hospital. Mom and her friend Shirley Ross went to many concerts, Raider games, bowling, and trips to the casino, and a special bus tour to Deadwood, South Dakota. Mom loved Elvis music, growing flowers and gardening, baking, sewing and many puzzles. She adopted many kitties from the SPCA, the latest one being Ringo.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mont. St. Joseph for their excellent care and compassion, Terri Fjeld M.C, her special friends and neighbours, Paulette Painchaud, Bertha Givens, and Mrs. Smith.
The Viewing will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 20, 2022; and the Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 20, 2022, both at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maraylne’s memory to Parkinson Canada, Prince Albert SPCA, or to a charity of your choice.
