A book of condolences is available for people to sign at Prince Albert City Hall, to mark the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The monarch died on September 8 at the age of 96. She held her title as Queen for over 70 years. Flags at city facilities have been lowered to half-mast.

Prince Albert Mayor Greg Dionne reflected on the long reign of Queen Elizabeth in a media release sent out by the city Tuesday.

“I have only ever had one Queen in my lifetime and her passing brings a sense of loss for many of us,” Dionne said. “The Queen was much loved and highly regarded for her stability and commitment to duty.”

The book for messages and condolences will be available this week. It can be signed daily from 8 a.m. to
5 p.m. On the day of Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, the book will be available for people to sign until sunset.

The Queen’s funeral is scheduled for Monday, September 19.
