Crown The King Swimmers from The Sharks Swim Team

Crown the King: Saskatchewan’s Original Open Water Swim was held this past weekend at sunny Waskesiu Lake, with PA Sharks Clara Gelhorn and Joy Friesen competing in the 1.6km and 4.0km distances respectively.

Both swimmers had a great time in the friendly and welcoming competition.

Clara achieved first overall for her distance with a time of 27.59. “This was an awesome way to try out open water swimming. I’m hooked!” said Clara.

A great big thank you to all the race organizers, paddle crew, sponsors, and competitors for making the 8th annual race a success.

“Clara is one of the most open water promising swimmers and we are very proud of her achievements”, said Dr. Hussein, PA Sharks head coach.
