Donna Marie Hubel
August 12, 1938 – August 30, 2022
Mom went to be with her LORD and Saviour on Tuesday, August 30th, 2022, after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness. Mom was a multi-talented lady, who particularly enjoyed singing and dancing in her younger years. She was a hard worker who could refinish furniture, paint her house, and install her own carpeting. She loved to beautify and maintain her yard and garden. She always had to be active and doing something creative.
Mom was an elegant lady, always displaying an air of class and grace, in everything she accomplished. She was fiercely loyal to family and friends and would always champion the cause of the underdog. She had a tender and loving heart, particularly for animals. Even as her health failed in the waning years of her life, she always maintained a courageous and positive attitude. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by those whose lives she touched.
She was predeceased by her husband Archie Hubel; daughter Michelle Krobel; sister Corinne Zuck; brother Richard Agnew; parents Hector and Phyllis Agnew.
She is survived by her son Richard Agnew; sisters: Candy (Ed) Gaudet, Enid Graham, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
The family wish to thank the medical staff at Victoria Hospital and Parkland Ambulance for their excellent care and compassion during the last three months. We express a special thank you to Dr. Painter.
As per her wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of other tributes, donations in her memory can be made to The Canadian Lung Association, 502 – 885 Meadowlands Drive, Ottawa, ON, K2C 3N2. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306) 922-4729.
