First day back: students, teachers, and parents alike get ready for the new school year

Today marks the beginning of a new school year in Prince Albert with students, teachers, and parents alike preparing to get back into the school routine.
“Our staff is feeling pumped to be back,” said Lorel Trumier, Director of Education for the Prince Albert Catholic School Division. “They’re all excited and there’s a lot of high energy which I’m really pleased about.”
Trumier added that the students should be excited too, as a new program is starting in all P.A. catholic elementary schools.
“This year we’re launching a few things,” she said. “We’re going to be launching robotics in all of our grade five classrooms. Our teachers just went through special training in partnership with SaskCode so we got robots and activities lined up for the students. We will also be continuing our classes of robotics at the high schools too.”
