Chase the Ace at the Lloydminster Exhibition Association (Lloyd Ex) has a winner.
The Ace of Hearts, one of seven cards remaining, was pulled Wednesday night in the Border City, naming Duane Nyberg as the winner of more than $1.2 million. The initial weekly winning jackpot had been $132,734. Proxy John Blair picked the card in Nyberg’s absence.
Chase the Ace has been a key fundraiser for the Lloyd Ex throughout most of the pandemic, given the impact of COVID-19 restrictions on all event based facilities. Everything going towards the association (50 per cent of the weekly ticket sales) will help with facility upgrades, purchasing land and more.
