SaskEnergy conducting flare in RM of Rosthern

People in the RM of Rosthern may notice a rather large flame in the near future.

SaskEnergy is conducting a controlled natural gas flare at its block valve site near the Town of Hague on Aug. 23 between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

During this time, people may see a 40-foot flame.

SaskEnergy said flaring is an important part of maintenance work. It also reduces the carbon footprint of the vented natural gas by 85 per cent.
