Kenneth “Pumpkin” Banhegy November 7, 1965 – August 15, 2022.
It is with great sadness we share the loss of a father, son, brother, uncle and cousin. Ken passed away suddenly on August 15, 2022 in his home in Calgary. He lived his life on his own terms and made no apologies for it. He made the best of every situation and never lost his positive outlook. Ken will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his kindness, compassion and tremendous sense of humour.
“When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room, why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little but not too long, and not with a head bowed low, remember the love that we once shared, miss me, but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take, and each must go alone. It’s all part of the Masters plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart, go to the friends we know, and burrow your sorrows in doing good deeds, miss me, but let me go. Sleep here awhile, my dearest part of me, for in a little while I’ll come and sleep with thee.”
A private family memorial will be held for Ken in Prince Albert.
