Saskatoon Folkfest – Culture Unites
Saskatoon Folkfest is pleased to announce that Culture Unites will be held on August 18, 19 & 20.
After two virtual years, Saskatoon Folkfest is gearing up for an in-person festival!
Culture Unites will bring together local ethnocultural organizations on August 18, 19, & 20 for three exciting evenings filled with cultural performances, displays, activities, and cuisine. Returning to an in-person experience brings back the one-of-a-kind Folkfest spirit that emerges when thousands of patrons of all ages collectively celebrate diversity and inclusion.
“Folkfest is a beloved summer activity in Saskatoon and beyond. We are delighted to have the opportunity to gather together this August in a community-wide cultural celebration.” said Lenore Swystun, President, Folkfest Board of Directors. “Given the profound impact the COVID-19 Pandemic has had on the cultural sector, we are seeing 2022 as a transition year for our Members. We are most appreciative of the Pavilions that can participate and we very much look forward to others returning in the future.”Culture Unites will include several multi-pavilion sites. International Place, a new collaborative venue at Merlis Belsher Place, will bring new cultures together with long-time Pavilion favorites. Folkfest Patrons will experience the best local cultural performances, taste incredible flavours, and discover and explore traditions that make Saskatoon a diverse and welcoming community.
